The Royal Hotel was first established in 1881 to provide a place for the local community to drink and gather. It has maintained this purpose today and prides itself on being a people’s pub that welcomes locals and tourist alike. It was recently renovated in 2019 which has enabled the historic hotel to add an extra level of comfort while still maintaining its country charm.

The Royal is situated in the picturesque town of Oberon in Greater Blue Mountain Region of NSW. Surrounded by spectacular scenery and many natural attractions Oberon is a great place to visit and stay.

Sawtooth Bistro offers a relaxed dining experience where you can enjoy a combination of delicious pub classics and chef specials. We believe in good ole fashioned hospitality and creating a friendly atmosphere for adults and families. We source our produce locally when we can, as supporting the local community is important to us.

Come in and experience a warm inviting bar that serves up your favourite cold beers, a great selection of wine and crisp cider. A place to gather with friends, watch the football with mates or just sit and enjoy a quiet drink.

Recently renovated our accommodation is comfortable and simply styled to create an inviting country feel. Situated upstairs from the Hotel you are only a short stroll from the bistro and bar. The Hotel itself is conveniently located in the centre of Oberon. We have a mixture of different sized rooms to cater for individuals, couples, families and groups.

Please note as with a lot of country pub accommodation we have shared bathrooms, separate for male and female. If this going to be an issue for you we do have one room with an ensuite so you can request this. If this is unavailable please check out some of the other accommodation in the area but make sure to drop in for a drink or a meal.
